Directions:
From South Leave M74 at J18. From North leave leave M74 at J17. Follow B7076 to A709 (sp Dumfries-Lochmaben) Follow A709 through Lochmaben and continue to Torthorwald village. Continue through village to past the first bus stop and then at the second bus stop on your left take next right signposted Tinwald, Amisfield. In about 1 mile turn on to farm road.

From Dumfries: Turn right off A75 (Annan – Crocketford) onto A709 (Lochmaben, Lockerbie). In 2.25 miles turn left opposite castle ruin (signposted Tinwald, Amisfield). In about 1 mile turn left into farm road.
